About Us

The Circle City Chamber Group (CCCG) is an Indiana-based, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating new performance opportunities for Indianapolis musicians, visual and culinary artists.  Fostering these artist-businesses relationships will, in turn, help secure support for the future of Indianapolis' arts culture.

As Indianapolis blossoms into a major metropolis, the need for a wider range of cultural activities and performance opportunities grows along with it.  The goal of the CCCG is to offer the growing professional community a balanced diet of audio, visual, and culinary experiences – and all in the same night.

In 2006, CCCG founder Andrew Lyon moved to Indianapolis to pursue his Masters in Orchestral Conducting degree at Buter Universtiy.  While there, he took a job working security in a downtown ultralounge, Blu, having started his security work 6 years earlier just one block south, at the legendary blues bar, Slippery Noodle Inn. While at Blu, he befriended bartender Katelin Reeves, who was also working on gradute studies for museum studies.

During his time at Blu, Andrew noticed that patrons of the club, and other like it, were spending a lot of their weekend time in the clubs.  After asking around different bars and clubs, he came to find that a lot of the emerging-professional patrons did not have much experience with the fine and performing arts.  Seeing this as both a need for experience-opportunities, as well as a red flag for the future for the arts in general, Andrew set out to develop an event that would provide this "new to the arts" demographic an opportunity to explore the arts in an intimate, non-assuming and social setting.

With the help of Ms. Reeves - who would join Andrew as the CCCG's Vice President and first Artists Guild Coordinator - the Circle City Chamber Group has set out to bring the Indianapolis a brand new way of experiencing the arts, and in a manner never before seen - anywhere!

Why is the Circle City Chamber Group called "The Rose of Indianapolis"?

A rose is a beautiful flower, yet without each part of the flower doing its part, the rose can never be complete.  The Circle City Chamber Group is the personification of that balance.  A community needs beautiful art, delicious food, great music, and strong business to be complete and, as the rose cannot be complete without every perfect petal, the Circle City Chamber Group showcases this perfect balance with every event.
