Andrew Lyon has been studying and performing saxophone for over 20 years. After completing his Bachelor degree in saxophone performance at Illinois State University, Lyon moved to Las Vegas, NV, where he played with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Jazz Bands while also appearing as guests artist with various ensembles on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. In Vegas, he also had the opportunity to perform with such stars as Marvin Hamlish, Tommy Tune, and Broadway legend Ben Vereen. Engagements in the Indianapolis area include performances with the Butler University Symphony Orchestra, the Tony Cheesebourough Band, and Mark Hendricks & The Party Line.
Currently, Lyon teaches private saxophone lessons, leads masterclasses for students and ensembles of all ages and genres, and holds the post of Music Director & Conductor with the Circle City Chamber Group Chamber Orchestra.
