Tim Haggard has been influenced and inspired by the arts since an early age. He grew up studying all avenues of art from pre-Columbian to modern and contemporary art. As an Indiana native, he attended The Herron School of Art as a Fine Art major focusing on drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Tim grew up in a family of jewelers and watch makers. He began his career as a professional jewelry designer in 1988 and is continuously finds inspiration in the Baroque, Rococo, Art Nuevo, and Art Deco periods. Tim has worked for over twenty years drawing and painting in such mediums as water color, acrylic, oil, egg tempera, and pastel. In addition to this experience he has worked in historical art restoration for private collectors. Tim's work as a sculptor ranges in media and scale, from clay to metal, and miniature to larger than life. He has experience in designing, molding, casting, and detail finishing of bronze sculptures some of which include "Pan and Siren" at the Indianapolis Arts Garden, "Dean Holden" at the IU Medical Center. His restoration projects have included "The Soldier and Sailors Monument" in Indianapolis, "The Pro Patria" World War Memorial in Indianapolis, and "The Town Plaza Fountain" in Fremont, Indiana, as well as numerous cathedral bells now in Barcelona, Spain. |
